"Sydenham" was made by Joseph Clementson of Shelton, England circa 1851 to 1865. Sherds in this pattern are the most common transferware found at the Warner site. Sherds in both blue and brown have been recovered. The fragments exhibit three different marks suggesting that parts of the set were purchased over time to furnish the 1855 Greek Revival house. Two of the marks are of Clementson's importer, Davenport Brothers, of New York. One piece of the set survived largely intact, a sauce tureen that was curated by multiple generations of the family for over 150 years. It is thought that the pattern in brown was associated with the log cabin that family stories indicate burned down around 1854. Many of the pieces in the set have a different central pattern while maintaining the same rim design.
